Why do we have to carry out microbiological and chemical analyses in foods, waters and drinks?
Because it is imposed by the Law, and with this measure the consumer is protected.
In more detail:
The most recent legislation regarding the hygiene and the safety in food, drinks and water, imposes frequent microbiological and chemical tests, via which the quality of products is ensured. By so doing the consumers' health is protected.
If an organization neglects these legislations, large fines will be imposed. Furthermore the organization will obtain a negative publicity, the products will be withdrawn from the market, or best case scenario, the products will enter the market with a huge delay. In all cases the damage is extremely substantial.

Ποία η αναγκαιότητα ενός Συστήματος Διαχείρισης για μια επιχείρηση;

Is a company compelled by the Law to apply a Management system? If yes, then which one is it?
Regulations that have been derived from both the European Union and the Cypriot legislations have placed high demands on issues regarding safety, quality and hygiene for products and the work place.
According to these demands, a line of Management Systems was created where all requirements of law are covered:
• With the implementation of ISO 9001
• With the implementation of all the necessary measures to ensure customer satisfaction
• With the implementation of ISO 14000
• All legal requirements that concern the environment are satisfied. Such requirements include: • gas emission • solid and dangerous waste • control of water pollution • control of ground pollution • noise pollution • packing and waste of packing
• With the adoption of OHSAS 18001/2007
• When all these factors are compined the high level of health and safety required in the working places is achieved.
• It is also worth mentioning that the safety of workers is not simply a legal requirement but a moral obligation that concerns as much the employer as the employee! The financial costs of neglecting these requirements are very high (fines) however the moral costs are even bigger (working accidents).

Why are the seminars essential?
The seminars are essential:
• Because quality is a moving target. • Because the volume of human capital, it doubles every four years. • Because whoever does not keep pace with the developments of the system, is eliminated. • Because the development of knowledge is a compulsory necessity, not only at a personal level but also at an enterprising level. • Because these seminars save time and money for both, individuals and enterprises.
